Once the decision was made to build golf, the Gebbers hired Perry Dye and were developing a challenging parcel of their land. And then along came the recession, Orrin Vincent, a heifer pasture and David McLay Kidd.
In Part 3 of this series on Growing Gamble, you get the story of the critical pivot that has resulted in Gamble's success.
Gamble Sands is a very special place. With a daughter & family living in Seattle, I've been lucky to visit from Houston, Texas several times. Played Sands four or five times now and Quick Sands once and got to see Scarecrow being built. I'll be back many, many times to enjoy excellent golf in a wonderful environment.
Matt - another most excellent video. You have a style of story telling that brings out the best in the characters and places. I'll want to take a tour of a cherry or apple processing plant, if they allow it, but I feel like I've been there already.
Great drone shots of the land, the views and the golf courses.
Thanks
Mark
